Baby girl

I watch the waves
I notice how they come and go
They withdraw, only to come again
With all their force and might
They should be governed by the moon
Yet the moon only influence them
They're really almighty
Their energy is everlasting
They take and give, yet there's more
More energy, never ending energy
It never stops flowing
And there's no where else I'd rather be
Then here and now

Watching my baby girl
She plays with the waves
Ignoring their might
Ignoring their wholeness
Just this piece of water
Just this moment
Just feeling the salt in her mouth
And the chilly touch of the water
Just enjoying the movement
And the love of her mom
Her full attention
This is her heaven
Nothing else is important
She's the goddess' daughter right now

And with her, I understand
There's no where else I'd rather be
There's no other life I'd rather live
There's no other family I'd rather love
Then the here and now
Just this moment in time
