Water married wind
Blazing fire, running water
Spring and fall
Night and day
Different universes
The gun spit its bullets
While the books chimed in
Pot and booze stank the room
While incense and soft bells danced around
Deep inside herself she found peace
He kept his compass and ruler
Though time is an illusion of everything material
She’s in a hurry to enlightenment
No silence can break her will
No noisy crowd can pull her down
She’s a force of nature
Water married wind
And the tempest began
Now her destiny will be fulfilled
No more suffering, too much to be done
Guiding light blowing the wind
Flowing water driving her within
Be brave, be bold, said the poet
Now she says, be still, be tranquil
Trust the spirit that guided you here
Let the consuming fire die without the air
Painlessly, effortlessly, naturally
And the water will flow again
