I asked the waves of the ocean
Where you were headed to

 I asked the morning rays
If they would meet you
They said you're still deciding
Whether you want the night or the day

 I then decided to ask the chirping birds
If they could sing a love song
So that they could fly to you
And sing the song that resonates with your heart

 Then you'd know for sure
Whereto you're going
Which side you'd choose
And the notes to the song
That would touch my heart
And bring you to my arms
